Client Confidentiality:
We take it seriously
At no time will a client's personal information be given to a third party without the client's expressed or written consent. All personal client information will be used strictly for treatment and communication by Lindsay Switzer, BHK, RMT. It is our intent to never abuse the trust clients have placed in us.
What information is collected?
Collection of client's personal information is important in the assessment and treatment of every client. The client's personal information includes:

Identifying characteristics: name, address, phone number, gender, age, etc.

Health status: diagnoses, acute/chronic conditions, communicable diseases, etc.

Peronsal habits, activities, views: opinions expressed, concerns, complaints, etc.
All of the above information regarding our clients is essential for thorough and accurate assessments and treatments under the care of a Registered Massage Therapist. It is important for RMTs to have accurate and truthful information about their clients to maintain medical, legal, and personal safety of both the therapst and client.
** Business information is not the same as peronal information -- a client's public business information is not protected under the same laws listed below.
What do we do with your personal information?
All personal client information is kept secure:

Paper files are locked securely at all times.

Electronic transmissions are located on password-protected devices.

**Booking Online: Name and contact details are required for effective communication in requesting an RMT appointment, all website transmissions are through a reputable, secure server and accessed on the above password-protected devices.
What about online payments?
At this time, we prefer our clients pay cash, however, we also accept Interac e-Transfers. All e-Transfers are completed privately between client and therapist at the time of treatment.
Can I access my own information?
Of course! All you need to do is ask. All clients have a right to access their personal medical or health information. There are very few excepetions to this rule, and should an exception happen, Switzer Therapeutic Services will contact the client within an acceptable time frame to notify them of any reasoning why they may not access their health files.
